Participant categories and registration fees
All participants, including symposia conveners, presenters, registered participants and students, are entitled to the following:
- Participation in all academic activities of the Congress
- Participation in the Social Program (registration required!)
- To act as a member of the General Assembly
- To receive information and congress related material (congress bag, scientific program, USB stick with abstracts and additional information regarding the congress)
- To enjoy coffee breaks
- Free entrance to the Museum of Ethnology during the congress
- Certificate of attendance
Accompanying persons
Accomanying persons have to be registered by a participant using the online registration form. They are entitled to attend the opening and closing ceremony and the official social events (registration required).

Cancellation policy
If you are registered but unable to attend the congress, the following cancellation policy applies:
- Cancellations until 30 April 2012: paid registration fees will be fully refunded.
- Cancellations between 1 May 2012 and 30 June 2012 are subject to 75% cancellation fees.
- No refund for cancellations after 30 June 2012!
Cancellations must be submitted in writing (congress@univie.ac.at).
All refunds are subject to bank fees.
