Struggling with membership decline, a diminished political role, and the economic crisis, trade unions in the Americas have nonetheless shown resilience and the capacity to renewal. The symposium will highlight the major challenges for trade unions in the Americas in the 21st century and best practices of organizational and programmatic development, with a focus on transnational activities.
